Our PhD Student Claudia Lacombe from BOKU has participated in the European Summit of Industrial Biotechnology 2022 (ESIB 2022) held in Graz, Austria, between the 14th and 16th November. During this conference, Claudia presented a poster entitled “Process optimization for the biosynthesis of non-canonical amino acids“.

On September 30th we were present at the European Researchers’ Night 2022 that took place at the National Museum of Natural History and Science of the University of Lisbon.
We have a freshly published paper in Biotechnology Advances. In this work, the authors explore “Native, engineered and de novo designed ligands targeting the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein”. This work was developed under the scope of the Pure Project, financed by the European Union’s Horizon 2020.
PhD Student Alexander Zollner from BOKU participated in the 35th International Symposium on Preparative and Process Chromatography, Baltimore, MD, USA, 15th-18th May 2022. On May 18th, Alexander Zollner presented “Heparin Affinity Chromatography as platform process for separation of structurally different enveloped virus-Like Particles”.
Last week, Dr. Margarida Dias took part in Pint of Science with the talk “Protein Engineering: building materials with nature LEGOs”, in the session “Building with Science: from nano to macroscale”.
