Last week, two of our PhD students attended the BPP2022 – BIOPARTITIONING & PURIFICATION CONFERENCE, in Aveiro. Henrique Costa presented some of his PhD work about “Strategies for the purification of cephalopod-specific structural proteins with biotechnological potential” and Carlos Costa with the poster “Affinity reagents towards the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein”.
On September 30th we were present at the European Researchers’ Night 2022 that took place at the National Museum of Natural History and Science of the University of Lisbon.
We have a freshly published paper in Biotechnology Advances. In this work, the authors explore “Native, engineered and de novo designed ligands targeting the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein”. This work was developed under the scope of the Pure Project, financed by the European Union’s Horizon 2020.
PhD Student Alexander Zollner from BOKU participated in the 35th International Symposium on Preparative and Process Chromatography, Baltimore, MD, USA, 15th-18th May 2022. On May 18th, Alexander Zollner presented “Heparin Affinity Chromatography as platform process for separation of structurally different enveloped virus-Like Particles”. https://prepsymposium.org
