The University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, BOKU, founded in 1872, is an education and research centre for renewable resources in Vienna, Austria. BOKU combines expertise in the fields of natural sciences, engineering and biotechnology as well as social and economic sciences. BOKU sees itself as an innovation leader in the green economy, with the goal of integrating sustainability into all processes in society.

The University of Bayreuth is a public research university situated in Beyreuth, Germany. It was founded in 1975 as a campus university focusing on international collaboration and interdisciplinarity. It is broadly organized into seven undergraduate and graduate faculties, with each faculty defining its own admission standards and academic programs in near autonomy.

iBET is a private not for profit research intensive SME in the area of Biotechnology and Life Sciences. Set up in 1989, iBET bridges university and industry research by establishing partnerships particularly in the areas related to Biopharma and Food & Nutraceuticals, while also creating and organizing autonomous knowledge and expertise. Thirty years later, iBET is now the largest private Portuguese non-profit institution devoted to Biotechnology Research.
